Born and raised in 12th ward of the French Quarter of  New Orleans, Louisiana, Meraux Dantes learned his first bit of magic from his Grandparents. Though the craft of magic they engaged themselves in was a bit odd to most, Meraux learned to take some of what he learned and use towards Entertainment.

After crossing paths and befriending "The Mystic Croupier" Aces Wilde Ashkuff, with
The Beyond Logic Network, Ace taught Raux the basics and fundamentals of performing magic. Meraux Began performing shortly after professionally in 2002.

Driving home from a show late one night, Meraux was in a car accident on I-10 that jogged a bit of his memory. The person in the other car was a performer named Darrell Mac. Darrell and Meraux were hospitalized in the same room for the duration of their treatment and have grown to be close friends and performing partners.

Meraux feels magic is not about fooling people, or insulting their intelligence. "If I just fooled people, I would be nothing more than a con-man." says Meraux. Magic is about a  moment that is created for the audience. Magic is an experience.

Beyond Red Light Magic, Meraux's affiliations include but are not limited to,
Collective Minds Entertainment, The Beyond Logic Network, The 18th Chapter of Sanctum, The UMC, EatonMagic, and is a student of the legendary street performer Gazzo. Meraux also is close friend's with the devil.  For social networking, you can join Meraux's Myspace  or Meraux's Facebook Page.

You will not find any type of Entertainer that compares to Meraux or any type of entertainment the compares to his Magic. Whether he is at your table side at the five-star establishment you are enjoying or building that crowd around your booth at your next corporate event or trade show, Meraux will shock you with his uncanny ability to demonstrate what he does best. From melting cutlery in your hands to telling you what is on your mind, Meraux's unique form of smoothly mixing the refined learnings of his teachers with his underground and suave performance style, is bound to amaze you.

Leaving New Orleans ironically, 3 weeks before the tragedy of Katrina, after a recurring dream, Meraux now lives happily with his wife and six toed black cat Bagheera in Saint Augustine, Florida. You can find him on the weekends at the
Tasting Room from 8 o'clock till 10 or the San Sebastian Winery 7 - 10pm
